[dropcap]P[/dropcap]agājušā gadsimta 90. gados Latvijā sākās lielogu dzērveņu, krūmmelleņu un arī zemo dārza melleņu audzēšana. Sākumā bija svarīgi pareizi ierīkot stādījumus un to kopšanā izmantot atbilstošu tehnoloģiju.

Mūsu zemniekiem nebija zināšanu un nebija arī vietējo šīs jomas zinātnieku vai praktiķu. Paši audzētāji kontaktējās un kopīgi apmeklēja dažādas izstādes un valstis kur audzēja šīs ogas. Ar lielākām vai mazākām kļūdām tika ierīkoti stādījumi un nodrošināta ražas ieguve, kuru tad vajadzēja kaut kur realizēt.

Sākumā gan lielogu dzērvenes, gan augstkrūmu mellenes neviens nepazina un tirgū nepirka, tās sauca par ,, Černobilietēm”. Arī atsevišķam audzētājam Lielveikalos iekļūt nebija iespējams, jo veikalu ķēdēm ir nepieciešams lai produkcija tiktu piegādāta regulāri, pietiekoši lielā apjomā un pietiekoši ilgu periodu. Tā kā mēs savstarpēji viens otru pazinām no kopīgiem braucieniem un ekskursijām, tad 2009.gadā mēs sanācām kopā un sākām pārrunāt ko un kā mēs kopā varētu uzlabot šo ogu audzēšanas un realizācijas procesu. Situācija bija pateicīga lai veidotu RG( ražotāju grupu) , jo tieši tad ES bija Kopējās Tirgus Politikas atbalsts RG veidošanai dārzkopības nozarei ar dāsnu atbalstu ražošanas apstākļu uzlabošanai.

Kopā mēs – SIA AROSA-R, SIA Very Berry, Daileko SIA, Abullāči -2 ZS, Dzintari ZS, Dālders ZS, nolēmām dibināt kooperatīvu un veidot RG. Tā tika radīts BOK (LPKS Baltijas Ogu kompānija) kuru kopš dibināšanas vada Valdis Ieviņš.

Sākums bija saspringts un diezgan bēdīgs, jo ražas tikko sākās un realizēt nebija kur un nebija ar ko transportēt novāktās ogas, varētu teikt bijām nabagi. Taču griba un uzdrīkstēšanās mums bija liela,

izveidojām RG , uzrakstījām projektus un tos realizējām , iekarojām Lielveikalus un noslēdzām līgumus par produkcijas piegādi. Katrs biedrs ir uzcēlis ražas pirmapstrādes telpas un iegādājies specializēto transportu lai ogas varētu nogādāt tirgū. Mūsu kopdarbība veda mūs kalnā, palielinājās ieņēmumi , nostiprinājās atpazīstamība un veidojās kopdarbība dažādās jomās, gar iepakojuma iegādē, gan minerālmēslu un augu aizsardzības līdzekļu iegādē. Arī dažādas mācības organizējam tieši kooperatīva biedriem un kopā braucam pieredzes apmaiņā, esam atzīta kooperatīvā sabiedrība.
